Re: New Showdown version

Maybe someone should compile all the new bits into a FAN! document?

Re: Sorcerors' Rides

I just started on Jason Nahrung's Vampires in the Sunburnt Country series. The Night Riders are vampires - and several of them use bikes at night. While supposedly a bikie gang, there ain't no hogs in sight, the only named brands being a BMW and a Kawasaki. Otherwise they use a succession of vehicle...

Weird Wars mini scale

I know some people role-play in 1/72, and that's the scale of the artwork on the flats. However I don't know if I should buy 1/72 WW2 minis for Weird Wars: World War Two (or One, for that matter!) to save costs, or keep collecting 28mm. Which would be preferred?

Re: Official Savage Worlds Minis Request Thread

There are many things in every setting that are not available in sufficient numbers. Some there aren't even paper minis for. It is no longer true that cowpokes who have been turned into abominations (or just zombies) do not exist, but there aren't many, and when there is a major zombie encounter.......

Re: Savaging D20 weapons

Here's what I've come up with so far: Disposable autoshotgun Range: 5/10/20 cost: $500 Damage: 3d6 Weight: 7 ROF: 1 Payload: 3 Notes: 2-handed, AP 1, auto. Uses a cone template (extend the sides to show the area covered where neccessary), firing a ten-charge burst (not selectable). Do this 3 times, ...

That would lead to the Thememobile, which only works when there is no masquerade and wizards have become the new superheroes, when the law is working with Batman, not looking everywhere for him (Well, when you think about it, having a special Batmobile when he is a fugitive doesn't really make sense...

The idea of different magical traditions is part of the concept. Going back to the Skullduggery Pleasant example, the two major disciplines are the Adepts, who use the elements, and Necromancers. Other sorcerors may end up with various active powers, a la Charmed, such as the only remaining dimensio...

This would render the magazine a non-viable target, due to them being below the waterline for the very reason of fire risk management. The wizard would have to be on board the enemy ship.

Sorcerors' Rides

This may (most likely) come to nothing, but I was thinking of a modern/futuristic fantasy setting which is nowhere near as high-fantasy as Shadowrun, but definitely not as low-fantasy as Supernatural; more like Skullduggery Pleasant. Not going towards The Last Witch Hunter. I was wondering if anyone...

I have reason to believe that these ships were designed by Dramascape, who have an annoying habit of drawing the grid to a 1"=3' scale, due to some gamers' ideas that it looks silly that two adjacent characters shouldn't be able to occupy the same square if it is a 5' or 6' square (remember tha...

I'll try some simpler ones, but there are many extra qualities given to the weapons that may not work in SW the same way.
Curiously, the Science Fiction Companion doesn't have comparable weapons for infectious bio-swords, flesh-warping rays, cannon that fire circular saw blades and combat yo-yos.

The pepperbox/dagger/knuckleduster combination appears to be a Dolne Apache Pistol. It has a six-shot cylinder and no barrel; 7mm pinfire, developed by Belgian gunmaker Louis Dolne in the 1870s, maximum range point blank.

Savaging D20 weapons

I am looking for a reliable way to convert D20 weapons to Savage Worlds, as I have a lot of speculative fiction weapons for D2o (including 1001 Science Fiction Weapons by Plain Brown Wrapper Games), and need to convert them as I would much rather play them in SW. Have there been any such direct conv...
