Re: Handling a rather "careless" blessed character (City o' Gloom spoilers)

I'd first make it clear that something may be wrong, to see how invested he is in his donation. If he keeps blowing it off "Not my problem, I didn't know." it should quickly become obvious that the proper response to that is "Well now you do, what are you going to do about it?" N...

Re: A plentiful lack of sci-fi minis

Dreadball minis can often be found somewhat inexpensively and they have a number of non-human figures which have an SF look. They don't have guns however!

Re: My playgroup has an issue with Heavy Armor

Characters with heavy Armor in a non-supers setting is always problematic, however. Sure, but the OP is in a supers campaign. I don't like effects that basically negate the chances of doing *anything* Heavy Armor is like that. We've been toying with a rule that still makes heavy Armor viable,...

Re: Help me, math wizards! (and spreadsheets guru)

This sheet contains the exact formula for exploding dice, so you use that as a basis: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1miqtytaZ5i3MbyynAW9mIp2G-jYL7wwvbLk667GHzFE/edit?usp=sharing If you just want the formula, it is: chance of success =(DT- Mod(TN-1,DT))/(DT^(Quotient(TN-1,DT)+1)) Where DT = ...

Re: Clairvoyance spell?

Sherwood had separate Clairvoyance and Clairaudience spells, but it is currently OOP. I'm not involved with the rerelease, whenever that may be, so I'm assuming it will (should) be quite different, though.

Just for kicks, here's a quick thought for removing the +d6 damage die. ---------- If you roll a raise on your fighting/shooting roll, immediately compare the result to the opponent's Toughness. If the result is equal or greater to Toughness, you may choose to have the opponent become Shaken instea...

That's an incredibly narrow range of results for Tricks and Tests of Will to be "nerfed" in any way, much less the fact it requires writing off their base effects as useless. I agree that they're not useless, although the simulations I ran here make it clear that they're less effective wi...

This line from your analysis seems backwards.
Parry is listed as 6, however it should be 5 (did you forget to give the Rapier +1 Parry?)

It seems like it DID give the +1 parry.
