"Deadlands is the First Setting to get a Live Action TV Show"?

I thought Kindred had that dubious honor.

To be sure, ghost rock isn't exclusive to North America, but it does happen to be more readily available than other places in the world. South America, IIRC, had plenty of issues going on in the late 1800s as the European Empires started to decline and the locals were beginng to push back hard again...

Well, there are two free PDFs that you can grab to bring your single volume DLR up to snuff. They are: Deadlands Reloaded Changes to 2nd printing and Deadlands Deluxified The 2nd printing is just pinnacle splitting the single volume into a players guide and marshalls handbook with some corrections a...

About the only advice I can think of is to just remember that, as the Marshall, you are under no obligation whatsoever to adhere to the plot point verbatim.

Hellstrome and Raven survived to HOE, apparently Hellstrome was the one to boot the Reckoners off Earth

Raven apparently shows up in the new HOE PP.

And as for Stone, well, he's Stone.

So, basically, it'd be a GM call as to whether it'd be allowed or not. Personally, I wouldn't allow it during character creation itself, (as provided by the new Harrowed rules from Stone and A Hard Place), as it'd likely cause too many problems that I don't feel like dealing with. That being said, I...

That's because, while they're spellcasters, they're still mooks with all that entails.

Hexslingers and the Noir era

Now that the Hexslinger has officially returned to Deadlands with the coming full release of Stone and a Hard Place, it'd stand to reason that the tradition would carry on into the 20th Century. What do you all think they'd look like and how'd they act?

When I hear Deadlands in the 1980s, the first thing that pops to mind is Frank Miller taken to 11 with a dash of Delta Green for added effect. I could see actual deadland areas popping up in major cities where corruption is at it's worse. And to take the Delta Green idea a bit further, there could b...

Out of curiosity, does your deal with Tor possibly include a print run of Wendigo Tales as an Anthology, or a series thereof?

(Semi-Random Thought) ETU as an Annex for IOU

While thinking of various ways to adapt East Texas U for a "Howard Country" (as opposed to Lovecraft Country) game, I remembered a similar setting for GURPS called IOU: Illuminati University. It got me to pull up my copy of the book to look at it; turns out a good deal of the setting rules...

Tor to publish new Deadlands novels?

I saw an article mentioning it while talking about new comics for the setting.

Is it true? And if so, what part of 2015 or 16 should we start looking around for the first book?

Guess, I'll have to wait for the current season to show up on netflix so I can catch up as it's getting difficult to find them on youtube along with my job making me pretty busy, (truck driver).

As far as Ponyfinder goes, Let Silver Gryphon Savage it then I'll look at it.

The Books of John Dee and other Macguffin books

I was just listening to episode 45 of Miskatonic University Podcast and they were talking about how using the ebooks available from Project Gutenburg. One of the books specifically mentioned was The Mathematicall Praeface to Elements of Geometrie of Euclid of Megara by John Dee and how it could be w...

Speaking as one who actually used the M60, I can definitely say that firing a singleshot from the MG usually means one of three things: 1) You really are that good. 2) Your weapon just jammed and you clear it QFH. [And] 3) You're out of ammo.
