Re: [Daring Entertainment] Super Powers Unleashed Kickstarter Now Live!

I remember Dawn of Legends. It was like the author took the Mutants & Masterminds 2nd, ripped out the d20 frame, and put in Savage Worlds. Interesting and flexible, but I found it clunkier than the SPC and a lot more jarring than M&M. Glad to hear someone had fun with it. I agree completely...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] Super Powers Unleashed Kickstarter Now Live!

As an extremely avid user of the SPC2 That makes my response very easy. The thing is, if you are an absolute fan of the SPC and use it in your games, then Super Powers Unleashed isn't for you. Might sound dismissive when typed out, but it really isn't meant to be. The Super Powers Unleashed set is ...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] Apocalypse Campaign Guide, July 25th

Just for reference, apparently the pdf has been up on RPGNOW for a while (I don't know how long, so I don't know if I just missed it or it went up after I checked) and now the hardcopies are available that way too. They just released this past Wednesday (April 12th). I had been swamped with a ton o...

[Daring Entertainment] APOCALYPSE CAMPAIGN GUIDE and APOCALYPSE UNLEASHED are now live!

The world as you knew it ended. Society fell. The infrastructure that kept the populace healthy, clean, hydrated, and fed, is obliterated. There’s no law enforcement. There are no firefighters. Hospitals and medical clinics are gone. The old, the sick, and the disabled, are on borrowed time. Medicin...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] Apocalypse Campaign Guide Kickstarter

If shipping were added in, he would have to ship them himself. Also, probably the worst part about shipping, is that if it is added, it really bloats the Kickstarter total and it has nothing to do with making the product better. It just takes money away. So going through OneBookShelf is a good plan...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] Apocalypse Campaign Guide Kickstarter

Gordon, You get a coupon code that pays for everything except the printing and shipping cost. So normally a book bought from them is $X + Shipping + Printing, you will just pay Shipping + Printing, as you have already paid the $X. Correct, the tier amounts do not include Printing + Shipping. If we ...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] Apocalypse Campaign Guide, July 25th

Quick question - once this launches, do you have an ETA on the material? Is it going to be like the various Pinnacle Kickstarters, where the material is written and the KS is mostly for art, printing, and layout, and backing gets you access to a rough draft? I'm starting to plot my next campaign, w...

Re: [Daring Entertainment] The Apocalypse Survival Guide

Okay, with the Kickstarter launching in July, I thought I would put out little text teasers in this thread. Come around the third week or so of June, I'll start posting bigger teasers, and even some Setting Rules from the manuscript, via Google Docs with links placed here (and at other social media ...

Re: [WotD] how it all began? Happy ending?

Providing the Apoclaypse Survival Guide / Apocalypse Unleashed dual book Kickstarter funds this coming July/August, and depending on what stretch goals are met, I might be able to finally explore and reveal a lot more about the virus' origins. One stretch goal is Reign of the Dead , which is a two v...

Re: [WotD] how it all began? Happy ending?

A little bit about the origin of the virus was explored in World of the Dead. It didn't tell the entire story, as it really goes all the way back to the 1930s, but there was only so much space in the book. But it explained the modern times (read: outbreak) whos and whats. As far as the time travel ....

Re: [Daring Entertainment] The Apocalypse Survival Guide

Finally, finally, able to get back to this project. I'm hoping to be able to do a Kickstarter for it this July (I won't launch a KS for it until it's 100% written), and start posting content teasers and samples for it by around early June.

Re: [B&B] Loincloth Hero problem ? (again)

the new shaken rule doesn't make the edge more powerful. and it isn't like the edge is doing all this on its own. the character spent 4 Advances on Attributes, and at least 2 on Edges. it sounds like you are trying to make the difficulty about wounding the loincloth hero. Savage Worlds, Unlike d20....
