What is the range of a Hale rocket, and on a hit do you roll d6 to determine how many of the rockets hit, or does the 2d10 damage already assume that one or more rockets hit? Hale Rockets can only be fired up or down so range was never considered. The reality is each level would be progressively ha...

Re: Red Sands: Mme Bourgois (Fort Oublie)

Just started running the Red Sands campaign. This is the first Savage Worlds game for me and my players. My players have mostly completed Fort Oublie, and one is very interested in finding out more about Mme Bourgois/Leone Matthieu. Does anyone have any thoughts about what she might be doing betwee...

Hi! Not sure what you are going for in Space 1889. The way the book is written Wierd Science works but does allow for mass production of wierd science weapons. Instead you can "invent" lighting guns, heat rays and other such items. Also most of these items tend to be bulky in form and func...

Hi! Let me try to answer these. "The examples given for Favors on pg. 33 doesn't seem to add up to the amounts on the Favor Costs page. " You are correct, the example is off. It is true the underclass person can only gain 10s (2s x 5) for spending his favors however the Elite could gain 5 ...

The exotic weapons were added as much for completeness as anything else. The rules were not complex: The Drogue Torpedo must collide with a ship below to detonate. Thus it must be lowered 1 level and the airship pass over the enemy with only one level difference. Opposed Piloting to ram the torpedo ...

Ah inventors! The 1000 pounds times the cost of parts was a guideline and represents first having something someone wants (finding a buyer willing to pay the price) and second the fact that this is it - no life time income from the patent. Now the motorbike may have been an invention the player chos...

Something to consider: 1st round: did they "hear" the guards going down. If they do they can react the next round. 2nd round: assuming they get some information they may either reinforce or pull into a defensive position (note - this would take both movement and an action to my mind - tipp...

On the other hand I really don't get just what people have against the elan edge... I might raise the rank requirement to seasoned, I'd consider it to be about on par with many of the edges of that rank, but other than that, it's not really that ridiculous. Drew! My only concern with Elan is that i...

From my POV I would not allow four attacks at the same time without a penalty. While High Martians do retain the ability to grasp with their feet this is usually used while flying (or holding onto narrow cliff side openings) to carry additional items or strike while flying (the flying part messing u...

Should be the 200 pounds for the cost of the weapon fluid, mounts and containers. A refill of an existing weapon container is 150 pounds. Sorry that this wasn't clear.

Jordan, I think these were great and I used them often! What was even more fun was explaining that characters using swivel guns had to go out on the hull to fire them ;>) Yup, no protection for the firers in my game!

I intended it to be A. The money is given for the hindrance which does not count toward the hindrances you can normally take. The reason is the stipend is tied to the obligation and fits the profession.

You could treat this like an investment. Figure a cost to set the place up (he could borrow to make a better looking place), ask what he plans to pay the person monthly to run it, and then what the rate of return might be (2% per month might be reasonable) with a variance depending on the level of h...

All these arguments are certainly worthy of discussion! Sadly I am only a layman struggling with terms best identified by my betters. My observations attributing to the gravity particles (actually evidence indicates that gravity is actually a wave) may have been off but I submit the following: Exten...

Hi Folks! Gravity on ships in Space 1889 was glossed over but that was due to it requiring an explanation of how gravity particles worked, something that is still being explored. You see gravity, like light, is composed of particles ejected from the sun which travel through the ether seeking solids ...

Ignore the income from the status in S1889 and use the lodge income from Rippers. The lodge members will actually be getting less that what is in S1889 but that is due to a different setting and curcumstances. This is the easiest way to use balance between the two. Favors do not generate huge amount...
