you forgot the +2 Shooting Bonus provided by assault armor and the fact that it is sealed enough that you can wear it in space or wear it on an extremely hot or cold planet with minimal drawbacks. either way, Assault Armor was imbalanced and generally better than most of the stuff you could purchas...

my suggestion that has probably been suggested before.

apply the Gang up and Cooperative Roll Bonus Limit to all Total Bonuses. meaning you cannot go higher than a Net Bonus of +4. most edges should be about negating penalties, not applying bonuses.

don't halve the ranges of ranged weapons. even modern firearms have a ton of downsides. even with an AK-47's Close Range of 24, a typical monster has the ability to clear that in 2-3 turns in ideal circumstances. but at least the guy with the AK-47 has 2-3 chances to strike before he or she is slai...
