That anyone would know about it or be commonly used. Then it's not a weakness. It needs to come in to play to matter. considering how cheap it is to acquire and considering how many people know what a shade is. salt should be commonplace. because salt is the only thing really balancing the race.

i don't know where the edge is from, but i would assume it is from the fantasy companion if it exists. could potentially be from one of the fantasy settings too. but fantasy companion should be the first place to look.
