[NE/SPC2] Some Drones

[NE/SPC2] Some Drones

In my last Necessary Evil campaign, I created some new Drones to launch at my PCs. Some are deemed common, others were used in particular scenario. To create them (the biggest ones), I used some mech rules from the SciFi Companions. Maybe some of you could use those Drones, if you wish.

Psy-Drone
While they aren't the more common drones, those were actually the first drones created. They are V'Soris turned into drones, initially as a mean for the Overmind to supress any political opposition within his own empire. Psy-Drones are like any drone, except their brains recieved additionnal implants to exploit the latent - or effective - mental powers each V'Sori possess.
Attributes : Agility d6, Smart d4, Spirit d6, Strength d10, Vigor d8
Skills : Driving d6, Fighting d8, Intimidation d6, Notice d4, Shooting d8, Swimming d6.
Pace: 6; Parry: 6; Toughness: 8 (2)
Hindrances : -
Edges : Combat Reflexes, Two Fisted
Gear : -
Special Abilities :
- Ambidextrous : No off-hand penalty
- Aquatic : Pace 6. Psy-Drones are created from an aquatic specy.
- Armor +2 : Cybernetic implant armor.
- Attack, Melee : Damage Str+d6, AP2, Heavy Weapon, Multiple Attack (Vibro Claws on each wrist).
- Attack Ranged : Range 12/24/48, Dalage 2d6, AP4, Cone (Mind Blast)
- Stun : Medium Burst Template, Smart roll or be shaken (Synaptic Shock)
- Stun : Strong, Vigor roll or be shaken (Electro shock)
- Fearless : the ability to fear has been surgically removed.
- Heightened Senses : Low light vision (cybernetic eyes)


Spy-Drone
While these Drone have suffered some modifications, the most visible cybernetic implants have been avoided to make them look almost normal. The brain surgery they suffered lowered their intelligence quite a bit and they aren't fitted for some delicate spying work, but they can blend in the crowd.

Skills : Driving d6, Fighting d8, Notice d6, Shooting d8, Swimming d6.
Pace: 6; Parry: 6; Toughness: 8 (2)

Edges : Combat Reflexes, Two Fisted
Gear : -
Special Abilities :
- Ambidextrous : No off-hand penalty
- Aquatic : Pace 6. Cybernertic gills and specific training.
- Attack, Melee : Damage Str+d6, AP2, Heavy Weapon, Multiple Attack (retractable Vibro Claws in each hand).
- Stun : Strong, Vigor roll or be shaken (Electro shock)
- Fearless : the ability to fear has been surgically removed.
- Heightened Senses : Low light vision, Super Sight, Super Hearing (Cybernetic Implants, +2 to any notice roll involving hearing and sight)
- Living Camera : Everything a Spy-Drone sees or hear is recorded and sent to an alien HQ.
- Placid : Anyone knowing either the person before he was turned into a Drone or anyone having some knowledge about Drones and their behavior can attempt a Notice roll at -2 to see through the disguise. They also cannot have an extended conversation : asking them complicated or philosophical questions allow for another Notice roll at -2.
- Detonation : The power source of the Spy-Drone has been modified to track the vital signs of the Spy-Drone and to explode if there isn't any. When he dies, the Spy-Drone explode, inflicting 4d6 damages in a Large Burst Template. The detonation can also be remotely activated by any V'Sori through a telepathic impulse or by anyone through an encrypted signal (known only by the aliens of course).


Brother-Drone
Those Drones aren't your typical foot soldier. They are a heavy and military grade, compared to other Drones and just seeing them makes it obvious : they are big... Really Big.

Skills : Fighting d8, Intimidation d8, Notice d4, Shooting d8, Swimming d6.
Pace: 12; Parry: 6; Toughness: 20 (5)
Hindrances : -
Edges : Combat Reflexes,
Gear : -
Special Abilities :
- Ambidextrous : No off-hand penalty
- Aquatic : Pace 12. Underwater propellers under their feet.
- Attack, Melee : Damage Str+2d10, Heavy Weapon, Multiple Attack (Huge Vibro Claws).
- Attack Ranged : Range 100/200/400, Damage 4d10 (Blaster Arm-Cannon)
- Big Construct : +2 to recover from being shaken and can ignore penalties from one wound. In addition, they still have 3 wound level, despite being considered extra, due to their size. Finally, unless they suffer 4 wounds in a single attack - which instantly destroys them - they cannot suffer more than one wound in a single attack.
- Fearless : the ability to fear has been surgically removed.
- Sensor Suit : +4 to any notice roll involving sound or sight. He can also ignore -2 penalty due to targeting an opponent smaller than him.
- Size +6 : They are considered Large. Any attack made against them is made at +2.
- Vertical Repulsors : As an action, the Brother Drone can jump upward with a success on an Agility roll and then use his repulsors to continue his ascension. Each round spent allow him to fly 7" upward.
- Weakness : While being mostly a construct, there still is a livingbrain inside the Brother-Drone's head. Targeting it is a called shot at -8. If one can know precisely where the brain is (by seeing through matter, sensing brainwave, etc), it becomes a called shot -4. A single wound in the brain instantly slay the Brother-Drone.
