Hmm, I thought I posted this, but I guess the Gremlins got it.

I have run a number of "D&D conversions". I just use SW + FC and if a player wants a utility type spell, I make a it ritual (like those 4e folks). I just eyeball it and make it more like treasure/loot vs. giving them a power. If there is a duration, I just have it be something to the effect the PC needs have "x power points" available to power the spell. If they spend those PPs in combat, then the power drops.


To be clear, the PC does not spend 3 PPs on the message ritual. The just need to have 3PPs left to keep it running.

In two D&Dish campaigns, I think Message was the only utility type spell anyone ever really demanded of me.
