League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1970s Character Sheets

#1 Postby DHRDawg » Fri May 01, 2015 10:18 am

(I posted this over on the Savage Worlds Community on Google+, thought I would post it here too.)

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1970s Character Sheets Gencon 2015

For these Savage Worlds character sheets, I started designing them to look like 8 track tapes on 8.5x11 pieces of paper. Then I took it another step further. Why not use real 8 tracks?

I bought some cheap 8 tracks off of eBay and peeled off the old labels and made some labels of my own with the game logo I designed. The stats are on the back listed like program selections on the 8 track. I used a similar font to what they used, Franklin, and gave the labels an aged look.

The boxes were made by flattening out an existing box, building one in InDesign and printing it out in card stock. After cutting it out I just glued it together.

The box also had a brief character bio on the back that sets up the character for this 4 hour adventure.

The red tapes are PCs the blue ones are Allies (NPCs). I'm still waiting on 3 more tapes to come in the mail.

Can't wait to bust these out at the table!

'But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here.'

I personally liked that "The Bandit's" equipment list includes his Moustache.
"General, we have a plan."
"We should point out, at this moment, it is a fairly terrible plan."
"And it almost certainly won't work."
"I was happy with "fairly terrible"."
"Sorry, just thinking out loud."

Those are amazing. Well done!

One nitpick, though: shouldn't Daisy Duke's vehicle be Dixie (her Jeep CJ-7) and not the General Lee? (although since this is 70s a case could be made for her 74 Road Runner)

You are 100% right. It should be the Jeep or that yellow Road Runner but there is a reason for that in the scenario. The Duke's are running a classic shuck n' jive on Boss Hogg and she is using the General Lee for the purpose of just this adventure.

Ah, I missed that in the photos. That's a neat detail.

This is unbelievable. I'd love to see the sheets in their printable state! I occasionally run a public game here in Portland Oregon and would love to run any of your LoEG decades (full credit to you of course).

Sure thing. I'm still not done with everything but I'll post it all after I run it. Sometime after Gencon.

Finally got the last 8-track tapes in from eBay and finished up the last 4 characters sheets, Philo Beddoe, Foxy Brown, Carl Kolchak & Evel Knievel.

These are Legendary characters do Philo gets Clyde (Beast Master & Beast Bond edges) and Elvis has some followers, the Memphis Mafia. Made some sheet/tapes for them too.
