Guardian Angel Minis

#1 Postby GregAlso » Mon Nov 28, 2016 3:40 am

I was just wondering what minis you all were using for Grimme's guardian angels and for the Angel of Death? I'm looking to buy a flight of angels at least and wondered what you all used for them?

For the Guardians, most any sod-buster will do. They're a militia - organized and trained but mostly normal (morally repugnant) folks.
The Ange of Death is a tall, gaunt gunslinger in a long black coat and big black hat - unless he's got his wings out.

Don't the Angles wear robes in their flight with 4 wearing white robes and the flight leader wearing brown?

That is the uniform. And if you're after specific minis to look a lot like them then you'll want robed fellows; given that Guardian Angels are interchangeable minions of violence, I never bothered to get some minis just for them.
I believe there are some Guardian Angels in one of the Deadlands figure flats packs, but I'm unable to check that recollection at this time.

Good luck!

I buy cheap Heroclix for my Savage Worlds minis. I repaint them and rebase them on 25mm bases. They are easy to pop off and super glue to other bases. Cool Stuff Inc has a great selection. Troll and Toad also has a good selection.

Here are some that might fit as Guardian Angels with a little paint...

Wow that's a ton of cool ones! So, those are all 28mm scale right? I couldn't tell in my initial look. If so those could really be a great resource to add to my current collection!

They're HeroClix, which is (usually) 28mm, though the way they've measured over the years have changed. Still, all of those should be on about the same scale.

You'll definitely want to re-base them. The HC base is abnormally wide and far thicker than needed for any non-Clix uses.

Yes they are all 28mm. I mix and match them with Reaper minis, Hasslefree, and all others that size. 25mm-28mm. I wrote a step by step tutorial on how I rebase Heroclix minis here...

I would love to see how they come out if you rebase them and repaint them! :)

Thanks for the info. I will post once I finish getting them ready. I may just rebase them. I'm not much of a painter.
