Group attack

#1 Postby JPCannon » Thu Jul 25, 2013 2:45 am

In for example in Warhammer 40k when a group declare attack on some group, any in this group must attack that group. In Showdown it works the same way, or any unit in group can attack in another unit or group?

I have always ran it so individual models can "choose" their own targets. I think it makes much more sence than "everyone fires at the same target even if it the model's weapon is out of range or can't hurt it." In fact I all but quit 40K when my chaos marines ALL had to fire at the tank the missle launcher did, even though they were about to be assaulted.
The reason why squads have heavy weapons are so that they can provide security for those weapons while they take shots at tanks and other prime targets, so it is a stupid mechanic that says that everyone has to shoot at the same target.

Thats what I got.
