I've been tinkering with a superhero Showdown setting myself, and stumbled upon this forum in my search for ideas. Your stuff looks absolutely ace and I hope you don't mind me asking if I may have a look at your rules?

I haven't had a chance to test my mods yet, but how do you handle Super Strength for instance? I find it very expensive to be able to chuck a car for instance around so I put Super Strength as a separate power (Level 1-6).

Other thoughts about mods:

Team Leader allows you to swap two initiative cards around between your team members.

Dynamic Duo, have to Hold and act on the same (lower) initiative to gain the bonus (+1/+2 damage per level).

An open night of Super Heroes Showdown tonight. I think I'll pull out the Terror Bell fast food shop.

Awesome! I like the tokens you use to track wounds and Incapacitated status.

WOW!!!! Awesome stuff, Trigger.

Questions if I may...

The lion... where can it be gotten from? Great scale.
Can I get copies of the "Incapacitated" and "Wound" markers?
Have any fill-able sheets for the game (non-fill-able would be fine too)!
List of all the characters?
Where did you get those character bases? I use fender washers but it makes for heavy boxes of minis.
Are your buildings foamcore backed for firmness?
Where did you get these buildings?
Where did you get the streets portion from? I need one badly and yours looks like just the thing!!

Now... stop this nonsense and get the Fantasy stuff done! :-D

Michael's Arts and Crafts - its in a small set for like $5.00

Soon young padawan, soon.

Yes - See last sentence

They are cheap laser cut bases made from Hardboard from one of my local game stores. Spray paint black and cut/paste some of the terrain grid on top.

warrenss2 wrote: Are your buildings foamcore backed for firmness?

Foamcore bottoms and top of each building which make great dice roller boxes.

warrenss2 wrote: Where did you get these buildings?

Capital City printable paper terrain from Fat Dragon Games

warrenss2 wrote:Where did you get the streets portion from? I need one badly and yours looks like just the thing!!

Again, this is from the Capital City printable paper set. The base set comes with the street terrain and buildings. There are expansions for more buildings as well and the McDooms fast food building. Some of my buildings are custom designed by myself. You can look at the other pages of this thread for a pictorial "How-to" in constructing this game.

If you want a copy of my Super Heroes Showdown character sheets, pre-gens, and terrain rules, hit me up with an email and I'll get you squared away.

I think with the proper set dressing (period street lights, posters, vehicles, etc.) this city could be used for 1930's pulp era adventure. :-D

I've been thinking of doing superheroes for showdown myself. I've never really liked the idea of classic superhero stuff as an rpg, it's always just fit better as a miniatures game. I would love to see what modifications you've made to the SPC to make it work with showdown.

Just shoot me an email and I'll get you hooked up.

Here are some pics of our latest game. Actually had someone use the Terror Bell sign as a weapon. Massive destruction!

AND using the SW Status Tokens was so freakin' perfect for this!
